Late in 2017 I was contacted by a local university and was invited to take part in a study currently being undertaken by their health department. In short they wanted to know how I coped with my psychic abilities and sensitivities within a society that is largely still very conservative, misinformed and very often judgemental towards people who display certain perceptive abilities. I was asked about how it affected by life growing up, how my family saw me ( sees me ) and about how I deal with day-to-day life while being a highly sensitive ( as in perceptive ) and intuitive person. It was really liberating to speak to someone who was sincerely interested from a holistic, scientific and practical point of view as there does seem to be a common misconception that highly intuitive people can't cope with the "real" world and generally lack the ability to see the woo for the trees so to speak. I was really blown away by the fact that this is even being looked at seriously and it was an honour to take part. The best part was being asked what advise I would give someone who isn't yet at ease with these abilities and hasn't yet embraced them as a natural part of their being bringing it into their day-to-day life. My advise is simply this....as a being with a very highly aware and perceptive energy field it's important to do all the obvious stuff but even more so for us than for others as we are easily thrown off balance by the energies around us if not careful....
Eat a healthy diet
Avoid toxins such as alcohol, cigarettes etc
Be honest about who you are, what you think and what you feel in the kindest way possible.
Be mindful of relationships and make way to move on from ones that bring you down.
.......etc....basically just do whatever you can to keep your energy balanced and do it with a sense of self love and lightheartedness rather than being hard on yourself or acting out of fear for what doesn't serve you.
If you find that you are a sensitive and highly intuitive person who is struggling with this please do contact me as I can offer advise and support based on your unique situation. I have many stories to tell which I won't bore you with now but you can be assured that I've been there and done that so my advise for reals :)
lots of love and many thanks once again to the university for opening up to the more subtle ways of the world. x
