I listened while drawing. Each image symbolises an aspect of the human experience through a spiritual perspective. These perspectives are for my own learning too and although I created these oracle artworks and am aware of the insights they symbolise I am by no means beyond learning from them myself. I may understand these lessons, the deeper meaning behind certain experiences and have the willing to stay on a path that I believe to be true but I am forever growing, learning and discovering. Below is a narrative for each card and the symbolism connected to it. At times I will relate to scenarios in my own life which came along as life offering the opportunities for growth to me which are linked to many of the lessons in these cards however in general we all come to the same learnings. The individual experiences may be unique to us but if you really look at everyone out there you'll realise that we basically go through the same things.......at one point or another. It will take a while for me to upload all of the cards with their symbolism but I'll get there :)
"The Fire Whisperer" - The term "whisperer" basically refers to someone with an ability to communicate with an energy that does not communicate through words and furthermore communicates subtlety...so to be a whisperer of any kind it stands to reason that being sensitive to the more subtle realms of communication is crucial. This image is about us communicating with our source energy......the creative fire within us. We all have the ability to communicate, to listen, acknowledge and respond to the source energy within us. This artwork is a reminder of how important it is for us to do this. Our source energy knows what is needed to keep us grounded, keeps us rooted in feeling capable of thriving and not just surviving....it's the difference between a passionate and an obligatory life style. The creative essence of your soul needs to be given some time and space within your life and your reality. It brings joy, shifts stagnation, moves you to a point of courage to make changes you need to make and keeps things moving forward. Any creative activity will do......just enjoy it.....and then notice the difference.
"Awaken" - This image symbolises the waking up of our soul, our consciousness, our compassion, our ability to see the big picture. This is linked directly to the heart so goes hand in hand with becoming more sensitive. When we wake up we are motivated by a conscious awareness based on knowledge and wisdom based on experience through the heart. This is what motivates us to to serve humanity; this is what motivates us to support industries that are ethical; this is what motivates us to live our lives that is loving, sincere and supportive towards everyone and everything in our environment.....and this is a simultaneous awakening of the emotional and intuitive aspects. Once you wake up there is literally no way you'll be able to see things the same again. Research spiritual awakening; conscious awareness. Being awake can initially be quite shocking and it can take a while to assimilate and adjust to this new approach to existence. Realisations can be both liberating and painful. When we are truly awake we find it literally impossible to walk past a person sleeping on the street without feeling driven to do something to help them; when we are awake we feel the pain of what is really behind the disturbing stories on the news instead of just "hearing" it without any emotional response. And then.....once you open your eyes.......one of the first questions you ask yourself is "What on earth can I do about it?"....and it's no longer possible for you to carry on about your day to day life without feeling this drive to want to do something to help heal the aspects of our existence that cause pain. First port of call? Look at your own life. Look at your self. Look at your shadows, your pain etc and embrace these as lessons. Look for the lessons, find how your pain indirectly and negatively impacts others and love yourself , nurture yourself in the way that you feel driven to help anyone else.
"Indecision" - When this card appears in a reading it is reminder that we need to become present into the moment. It's a time to wait it out and have faith. The looking in two opposite directions and not knowing which way to go or what to do is quite a neutral state to be in if perceived in such a way. If there is any hesitation in following a path or in taking action then that's a sign that it's not the right time or that another path or option is yet to show itself to you. Often we feel pressured by ourselves or others to "do something". When our hearts are really in a decision we don't take so long to take action. And on those occasions when we do hesitate it's a sign that we may still follow that path but are not ready or that circumstances around us etc aren't yet aligned in a way that will benefit us from taking action at that time. Indecision is in itself a very clear feeling or state of being and is telling us to wait. There are always other options available that you may not yet have considered. Share your thoughts and feelings with those you trust and work on balancing your mind, body and soul to bring yourself in a more peaceful state. When perceiving situations from apoint of peace and faith everything looks and feels totally different and you may find that you don't need to make any decision about something in particular at all; just accept it and learn from it.
"Meditation on the road between Fire and Water" - This card symbolises being torn between conflicting emotions. When looking at life from a birds eye view we can comprehend how our trauma is a part of our life lessons that ultimately are opportunities for incredible spiritual growth and are the paradoxical gifts of life. However the truth behind trauma can also bring true suffering anger, fear and despair. The fire element being our raw emotions and the air element being our intellect that help us to rationalise these. This is a tricky balance as rationalizing emotions all the time can make us numb and allowing ourselves to be taken over and governed by our emotions can lead to us struggling to breathe through depression or let our anger hurt ourselves or others. When this card appears it's a reminder to be still. Meditation is not a way to cut off your emotions or thoughts as some may think. You just become present in yourself. It allows you to turn off the distractions in your mind that are preventing you from feeling the emotions you need to feel and at the same time allows you to feel them in a way that is healing as opposed to being destructive. When we sit still and listen to our hearts and minds we give ourselves the chance to be.
"Soul Mates" - This card appears in a reading when there is a significant karmic partnership in your life. Soul mate or Karmic partnerships can be romantic; friendships ; business partners; children. The aspect of this relationship that makes it a soul partnership is the depth and intensity of the connection and understanding. Every single person that we experience in our life is significant. We have something to learn from everyone even if we encounter them for a short while. They come along to show us what we need to learn about ourselves at that point in our lives and it works the other way as well. Soul mate relationships are significant connections that we usually recognise straight away. We feel an understanding. Remember that soul mate connections are not necessarily an easy ride. The fact that there is such a deep recognition and connection means that we may open ourselves up more allowing all of our previously hidden demons to arise. Sometimes we need to feel that we trust someone enough even subconsciously to allow certain aspects of ourselves to surface. This also works for suppressed creative talents and other positive aspects that we may have not felt safe enough to express until meeting this soul mate. Either way one is advised to trust the journey and open up to it. Embrace what unfolds for both yourself and the other person on all levels.
"Waterfall Whispers" - This card links to the throat chakra. This is our energy centre of communication, speaking our truth and living our truth as ultimately the spoken word manifests into physical reality.......as does thought. This card reminds us of the perfect balance in the flow of the waterfall. A waterfall is powerful yet peaceful. A waterfall displays no hesitation yet remains humble in it's place sharing only with those to choose to listen. when this card appears in a reading it's a sign to be conscious of your communication. Where are you holding back your own flow to your detriment. Are you hesitating because you can't find the right words? Are you afraid of living your truth nevermind speaking it? Are you afraid of disappointing someone; causing conflict or of being rejected? Remember that when you think, speak and act from the heart the truth can only heal. There is always a kind way to be truthful and sometimes we do need to be kind to ourselves and be assertive and strong for the sake of self love. This may inspire others who are stuck to do the same. Similarly be mindful of how destructive our thoughts can be. Our innermost thoughts directly affect how we treat ourselves and how we build our lives. They transform into words and actions that affect others around us. This card looks at balancing this aspect in our lives. Some throat chakra meditation and healing is recommended.
"Flying Back the Veil" - I absolutely love what this image represents. As the bird flies across the space within the perception of the viewer it peels away a layer of the veil of illusion. this is why in the image the bird looks like it's within a dimension of the face. this veil is often referred to as the veil of Maya. it's the fine yet stubborn layer that divides realities. Why is it that when after a profound realisation everything looks so totally different yet it's exactly what it was before? it's the truth. Something like this is so hard to put into words as the words we use are in them selves coated by this veil. We can be told a truth over and over again but until we learn it for ourselves through experience it's never going to truly known to us on a deeper level. in particular this image speaks of how nature and spending time in nature when existence is not tainted by our human confusion and dillusionary structure we can see the truth. For me the routines of the natural world help us to recognise and appreciate life through another perspective and life on another vibration all together. This card says that you are either needing to spend more time in nature you are doing so. This simple act of regularly breaking away from the human traffic and distractions will highlight the contrasts helping you to clearly see through the veil and live in the truth. All is well.
"Father of the Skies" - How big is the world? By the world I mean our planet but specifically those places that we feel connected to. Do you have strong emotional connections to people far away? Do you feel like a part of your soul is in another country and you're still waiting for it to catch up with you? This card is about the sky and how it ties us all together. As far as I know everyone's God is "above" yes? and we all gaze at the one same Sun and the one same Moon yes? When I am feeling the warmth of the sun on my body there are those in many other parts of the world feeling the warmth from the same Sun at the same time. It's like sitting around the same fire and feeling the warmth from it in one mass gathering. And the Moon? Have you ever noticed and linked with others over full moons that can be observed from so many different parts of the world at the same time? What was all of this land before we decided to chop it up and give it labels and restrict movement around it? It's all one place. We are never far from home because we are always home. It's our perception of things that makes us feel so much more far apart from each other than we are. And the sky? It feels like one expansive protective and inspiring presence that ties us all together. It's the shared roof of our home that is apparently the home to all of our many Gods. All Gods are one and are within. When this card appears it signifies this connectedness, the expansion of your energy to truly feel this and the knowing that we are all affected by the same elements. You are home, always.
"The past is the path to now" This is a portrait of a past life aspect of myself as a tribal woman. The scars on the face are from a transfer of power ceremony. the head dress symbolizes the swirling opening of the 3rd eye centre on the forehead. this is the energy centre through which direct communication with spirit and higher self occurs. this card speaks of our connection to our past; not just in terms of a past life as such but any aspect of our past. Whether we like our past or not it should be honoured and accepted as part of the building blocks to our present moment. It also speaks of an ancient wisdom that is an integral part of our soul. We already have all wisdom and knowledge we seek. Yes, we are always growing and learning but a lot of what are learning is about how to let go of the material / egotistical distractions that drown out this wisdom. If you consider the techniques and realizations that are emerging today in terms of health, spiritual awareness etc you'll notice that they are all based on ancient teachings, basic health care and practices such as meditation, yoga, talking, cleansing rituals, energy healing, exercise.....nothing new right? When this card appears in your reading it's a reminder and a reassurance that you can confident in two things for sure. One, where you are now is exactly where you are meant to be and as your past in the road that has lead you to this point it stands to reason that it was meant to be also. Two, you already know everything that you need to know....you just need to be still and learn how to listen to and trust yourself again. Anything standing on the way of this is the aspect of yourself that you need to heal i.e. your triggers of self doubt, lack of self confidence, inner restlessness etc. Easier said that done, yes. But if you maintain self love and nurture yourself through the process and trust yourself as you do your best friend, it's not so hard after all. :) Many cultures like to draw on the guidance and the wisdom of their ancestors. very often families will take on a life lesson that is carried on from one generation into the next on a spiritual level right down into the physical DNA of each generation until the cycle is broken, healed and released thereby shifting the DNA and physical reality of the generations to follow, gradually alleviating the lessons and associated pain. Love yourself in every moment of the now; when you hold this space of love it permeates others so there is nothing selfish about. We are all one and time is an infinite circle. x
"Protected while we Sleep" I went through a long period of my life of being too scared to go to sleep. in childhood it was for the usual reasons. When i was an adult, again for the usual reasons. And then when i started having vivid / lucid spiritual experiences the fear got even more severe. I was still learning about my energy. I wan't self aware and was leaving my energy open to spiritual entities with negative intentions. I had reached out subconsciously when I was very young for spiritual protection but it wasn't until many years later I started to do this consciously. Being asleep for me at times was the most vulnerable and draining state for me to be in. but enough about me as this is real for everyone. This about when we feel vulnerable in general. it's a reminder of the fact that we are always protected and that we are always capable of protecting ourselves, whether that is spiritually, physically, emotionally or otherwise. We can, if we are so inclined, call on our angles, our God and or our warrior self, our inner grownup and protector to deal with whatever situation we are in that may make us feel vulnerable, overpowered, fearful etc. the central pink figure in the image is coiled up as if sleeping; the energy from it is rooted down into the warmth of the fire coming from the earth offering stability and comfort; the angelic blue figure is in spirit which represents an angelic protective presence, the essence of God and are ever aware and alert higher self which has a sense of what's going on no matter how "asleep" we may feel of how vulnerable we think we are. When this card appears it's a nudge to take responsibility for grounding, looking after yourself so that you can think and act clearly in any given situation, keeping your thoughts and energy positive so that you are less susceptible to lower energies creeping in and to be responsible when you meditate. trust that the universe has your back, lock your door when you go to sleep at night and then just enjoy your rest. i.e. do what you know you can and then let go and have faith that you are strong and guided by the light.
"The Fear of Mother Earth" This card is about recognising the fear and vulnerability in everyone and everything around us. It's not about perceiving everyone to be in a state of fear ; it's just a reminder that everyone no matter how large, loud, powerful or abundant they are they have vulnerabilities and fears. this goes for our plant too. we have a tendency to treat her and a limitless resource that that has no sensitivity. we see her storms and natural potency and "natural disasters ". similar to the way we often perceive intense emotional expressions in others as "outbursts" or "breakdowns ". this card is a reminder to be mindful of how we treat others and our environment. other people are not just limitless resources whether emotional or material. neither si our environment. it's more loving to take respectfully and only when and what is really needed; never forgetting that the resource you're taking from whether via a relationship with another person or your environment, has a limit, has needs, has sensitivities and deserves respect. Similarly, if you find that you are being treating like a limitless resource without respect and appreciation then it's time to stand up to that and allow yourself the arena to express your boundaries, your possible exhaustion with the situation. mother nature, I would imagine, is fearful of how we treat her. we take and take, far more that what we need and struggle to see how we are contributing to the imbalance around us. This is the same in all relationships. appreciate the limitations ans vulnerabilities of others, and if needs be appreciate your own and ensure that you are being respected; respect an attitude of love.
